Jane Hunt MP attended the Mayor Making for Councillor Margaret Smidowicz at the Annual Council Meeting of Charnwood Borough Council.
After the event, Jane said:
"Many congratulations to my very good friend, Cllr Margaret Smidowicz who became Mayor of Charnwood Borough Council this evening.
"Having worked together for years on the council and in Nanpantan, I know she will do a great job this coming year.
"Also, many thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Cllr Jenni Tillotson for her hard work over the last Mayoral year."
