Jane Hunt MP asked:
The rotary club of Loughborough Beacon would like me to pass on its thanks to the UK Government for being one of the top donors to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which has made Africa free from wild polio. Will the Prime Minister join me in congratulating Rotary and its supporters on their monumental contribution to this effort? They have contributed more than $2 billion and helped to vaccinate more than 2.5 billion children around the world.
The Prime Minister responded:
I thank my hon Friend, because that is a classic and fine example of the philanthropy and public spirit of the British people, which has been shown clearly throughout this crisis.
