This month, Jane had four separate meetings with Government Ministers to discuss issues that constituents are facing. Two of those meetings were with Felicity Buchan, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to discuss supported housing benefit payments to councils. This follows previous meetings that Jane has had with Ministers and correspondence with both the Secretary of State for DLUHC and and the Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions.
She also met with Minister Simon Hoare, also a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. This was a joint meeting with Leicestershire MP colleagues to discuss the central government funding situation for Leicestershire County Council.
Finally, Jane met with Minister Mark Spencer, Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. She was joined by a local farmer to discuss compensation schemes that the government offer farmers who suffer TB incidents.
