What can be done to improve compensation payments for cattle farmers following a TB outbreak?
The Rt Hon Sir Mark Spencer MP, Minister for Food, Farming and Fisheries, responded:
We are, obviously, constantly working with those farmers who are facing the misery of a TB outbreak. I am aware of an outbreak in her own constituency in Leicestershire which is, of course, very painful for the individual farmers who face that outbreak. That is why we must throw everything we can at this terrible disease, every tool in the toolbox to try to stop TB from spreading up and down England.
